It’s called Bélo and it’s the new logo Airbnb has chosen for its rebranding.
Airbnb mission is not just being a house sharing service but a lifestyle brand where people identify themselves through values and a sense of belonging. The Bélo precisely.
In fact the new logo stands for: People, Places, Love and AirBnb.
With this new brand identity Airbnb has highlighted the importance of these four values for the company and they announced it where everything started: the apartment rented for the first time by the founders.
Brian Chesky, Airbnb co-founder, wrote on the corporate blog: “What started as a way for a few friends to pay the rent has now transformed into something bigger and more meaningful than we ever imagined. And what we realized is that the Airbnb community has outgrown the original Airbnb brand… ” said ” ..but a home is where you belong..That is the idea at the core of our company: belonging.”
What started to be a simple house sharing solution by friends is now one of the most valuable tech startup, evaluated $10 billion. Now, the company doesn’t want to be just a service but a trusted community where people feel a sense of belonging and home, whenever they go or travel.
