Twitter is one of the biggest media and news source in the world and you can really swim the in ocean of tweets you see flowing every day in your timeline.

“Our mission: To give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers.”

The claim above is the Twitter’s creed and, if you are a tech entrepreneur, you should consider Twitter as one of the best source of news to keep posted about your industry and learn everyday something new.

Some data about the social you should consider:

  • 500 million Tweets are sent per day
  • 78% of Twitter active users are on mobile
  • 77% of accounts are outside the U.S.
  • Twitter supports 35+ languages
  • Vine: More than 40 million users

So, if you are a newbie on Twitter or you are going to start your own business these are 10 Twitter accounts a tech entrepreneur can’t miss:

1. Entrepreneur

The name itself it’s clear enough. The famous paper and online magazine is a great source to keep you posted with quotes, trends and news.

2. Flipboard Magazines

Flipboard it’s the famous platform and mobile app that allows you to collect, discover and share news. In the Twitter account you will find news and trend to help you use at the best Flipboard to keep posted about your industry.

3. Fortune Magazine

Fortune is the famous business magazine with topics about people and ideas that are shaping the business world.

4. Inc.

In the tech industry this is one of the most quoted magazine and online source of news. You will follow tweets about Startup, industry trends, advertising, marketing and much more

 5. Tom Fishburne

I personally love his Twitter account and website. Tom is a marketoonist. What does it means? It means that he draws cartoons with a marketing and branding funny side. His cartoons are educational and ironic at the same time and so his tweets!

Gigaom is a leading global voice on emerging technologies. If you’re tech entrepreneurs I am sure you will appreciate it!

Last but not least, The Information is “a subscription publication for professionals who need the inside scoop on technology news and trends”. On the Twitter account you can have a sneak peek of those tech scoop. For example I knew two weeks in advance about the acquisition of Dropcam by Google and Nest thanks to their source.
